Singer/songwriter Jonathon Hampton was raised on Chicago’s south side, grooving to the sounds of R&B, Soul, Blues, and Jazz, which he shares with audiences today. Hampton fuses the passionate smoothness of Rhythm and Blues with the classic vibrance of Jazz ballads. In California, he has performed at Martuni’s, Octavia Lounge, and Les Joulins Jazz Bistro. In New York City, he has taken the stage at the Cotton Club, St. Nick's Pub, and Creole Jazz & Supper Club, and Carnegie Hall.

"COME TO PLAY" AT CARNEGIE HALL

Hampton has recorded and performed this theme song for Carnegie Hall's Link Up program with Lynelle Jonsson and Amy Justman; composed and accompanied by Thomas Cabaniss. In this program, students sing, play the recorder, compose and improvise while exploring a vibrant range of orchestral repertoire.
